The five ski areas in the Merano region in South Tyrol/Südtirol offer winter sports at all levels. Above the spa town of Merano/Meran is the Merano 2000 family ski area. The romantic Vigiljoch ski area is also located not far from town, which is especially impressive for anyone seeking peace and tranquility. Young and old winter sports enthusiast get their money’s worth in the nearby sunny and family-friendly Merano 2000 ski area. The ski area with its seven lifts, 40 kilometres of slopes, cross-country ski trails and a long toboggan run is barely four km away from the holiday villlage of Scena. The bus takes you from the village centre to the ski area in six minutes, the Merano 2000 cableway then takes the skiers directly to the slope.
